Robert Smithson’s Non-sites were stand-ins for displaced realities. But what if the realities of a particular space don’t make sense.
Nonsense site #1615 (field of dreams) is documentation of a stalled construction site, years passing with only entropy on the job. Foundations are poured, grass grows, materials rot, the site has/had promise. But promise doesn’t put a roof over someone’s head.
